In Short
Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar cast his vote in Vatluru, predicting a clean sweep for the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance in the Eluru district ZPTC and MPTC elections.

MP Putta Mahesh Kumar addressing the media near Vatluru polling station on Thursday
Eluru: MP Putta Mahesh Kumar expressed confidence that the TDP-led NDA would emerge victorious in every election held in the State, irrespective of the district.
The MP exercised his franchise at the Zilla Parishad High School in Vatluru on Thursday. Standing in the queue like an ordinary voter, he cast his vote and later spoke to the media outside the polling station. He said exercising one’s voting right was the responsibility of every eligible voter.
He said polling in four mandals of the Polavaram Assembly constituency had been postponed to Friday due to heavy rains and floods. In Eluru district, one ZPTC seat had already been unanimously won by the TDP, and he expressed confidence that the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance would win all the remaining 26 ZPTC seats.
Referring to the recent municipal corporation elections, he said the alliance had achieved a 94.2 per cent strike rate and would perform even better in the ZPTC and MPTC elections.
