TDP accuses Jagan of unleashing violence

TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao accuses YSRCP leadership of unleashing booth capturing, petrol bomb attacks, and violence during AP MPTC and ZPTC elections.

Guntur: TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao launched a scathing attack on the YSRCP, accusing its president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and leaders of unleashing widespread violence, booth capturing, and terror tactics during the ongoing MPTC and ZPTC elections across the state.
Addressing a press conference at the party central office, NTR Bhavan on Thursday, he stated that unable to digest the overwhelming public rejection in recent civic elections, a terrified YSRCP has completely abandoned democratic norms and stooped to sheer rowdyism to subvert the people’s will.
He pointed out that after suffering a decimation where the NDA secured a resounding 95 percent strike rate in the urban local bodies, the YSRCP realised that the grassroots rural verdict would be no different. Knowing that the public has decisively rallied behind the coalition government’s progressive governance, Jagan Mohan Reddy has deployed his party goons to create chaos and frighten genuine voters away from polling stations. He posed a direct question to the YSRCP leadership: is this democratic politics or unbridled rowdyism?
Presenting video evidence of poll-related violence before media personnel, the TDP state president highlighted several grave incidents orchestrated by YSRCP cadres in broad daylight. In Pulivendula constituency’s Errapalli village, petrol bombs were hurled at polling stations to terrorise citizens standing in queues, marking an unprecedented assault on voters who were stepping out freely to exercise their franchise. In Jammalamadugu, the son of former legislator Ramasubba Reddy was captured on camera brazenly storming booths, intimidating election staff, and threatening voters to prevent polling.
