Central Minister Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan calls on Dr Priyanka's parents
The Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, on Sunday visited the house of Priyanka Reddy at Nakshatra Apartments, Shamshabad, and met with the bereaved family members of late veterinary doctor who was gang-raped and brutally killed recently.
Rajendranagar: The Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, on Sunday visited the house of Priyanka Reddy at Nakshatra Apartments, Shamshabad, and met with the bereaved family members of late veterinary doctor who was gang-raped and brutally killed recently.
The Union Minister was accompanied by Chevella MP. Dr G Ranjith Reddy, Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar and DCP Shamshabad N Prakash Reddy. The Minister condemned the heinous act and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family members of Priyanka Reddy.
Later on, the minister visited office of the DCP Shamshabad along with Commissioner and DCP N Prakash Reddy. Ranjit Reddy urged the CP to speed up the investigation and ensure the perpetrators should feel the weight of justice by getting swift and severe punishment for the heinous crime they had committed.
Earlier during the day, Ranjith Reddy had met the family and consoled them. He hoped that courts would award harsher punishment, after speedy trial. Along with MP, Dr Katam Sridhar, the president of veterinary graduates association, was also present.
