In Short

BRS Working President KTR
Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday hit back at BRS working president KT Rama Rao over his remarks on his assets and business interests, asking him to disclose the locations of his assets in the US, Switzerland and England. Chamala said there would be no need for the Congress to repeatedly raise the issue if KTR came forward and disclosed details of his assets.
The Bhongir MP questioned KTR’s claim that he purchased a hotel in 2006 after returning from the US and subsequently acquired three hotels, reportedly declared in his 2009 election affidavit. “Did KTR really buy three hotels after spending just six years in America?” he asked. Chamala also questioned the accumulation of around Rs 8 lakh crore in Telangana’s debt during the BRS government’s 10-year tenure, despite KTR’s business credentials and his tenure as IT and Municipal Administration Minister.
