Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud assures new drainage lines

Allwyn Colony: Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud on Monday undertook a 'padayatra' in Ujjaini Mahankalinagar Colony and interacted with residents to know their problems. Locals complained about overflowing manholes and stagnation of rain water at many places.

Goud promptly responded to the complaints and summoned AE Subash to discuss steps to solve the problem. He assured the residents that new drainage lines will be laid soon as a permanent solution.

Later, the corporator went round houses educating people about the need for taking preventive steps against growth of mosquitoes. He and residents removed old drums, coolers and tyres to prevent collection of water which gives rise to mosquito larva. Entomology supervisor Narsimlu was present.
