Demand soars for CCTV systems in twin cities
A study undertaken by Sulekha, India’s leading tech-AI platform for expert services, has shown a significant shift in the buying pattern of CCTV Security products that is benefiting Indian consumers.
Gachibowli: A study undertaken by Sulekha, India's leading tech-AI platform for expert services, has shown a significant shift in the buying pattern of CCTV Security products that is benefiting Indian consumers. This study is based on visits and searches by nearly 25,000 consumers across cities that landed on Sulekha in the month of June 2019.
The study found that there is an overall increase in searches for CCTV security products by 80% over similar period last year. CCTV camera needs from Hyderabad has soared 113% in just one year with dome, wireless and bullet cameras being the top 3 searched CCTV cameras. The top 3 cities in India for CCTV growth are: Chennai, Delhi & Mumbai followed by Bangalore and Kolkata
CCTV products that are most searched include: dome cameras, wireless cameras, bullet cameras, night vision, spy/hidden camera. Dome and wireless cameras lead the way with searches for these products on Sulekha. 67% of the CCTV camera needs are for commercial purpose, whereas 33% are for residential, according to the study.
It has come to light that 30% of the CCTV camera needs are from parents to monitor their child's activity while they are at work or travelling. In the last one year, over 80 new service providers have registered on Sulekha to sell security products.

The demand for CCTV surveillance, especially net-enabled, has been exploding nationwide and will continue to grow.
