Hyderabad: BRS Backward Classes leaders on Thursday lashed out at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over the government’s decision to issue GO 14 regarding Atma Gaurava Bhavans, alleging attempts were made to sell off these prime lands. Addressing a press conference, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council S Madhusudhana Chary, D Sravan Kumar, Gangula Kamalakar, and others strongly condemned the government decision regarding Atma Gaurava Bhavans intended for BCs.
The leaders stated that Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, hailing from a BC community, is undermining BC self-respect. They recalled that K Chandrashekhar Rao allocated land for these Atma Gaurava centres specifically to uphold community self-respect, charging that Congress has turned into a party that betrays BCs. Madhusudhana Chary stated that for the past three years, the state has been run by an incompetent government suppressing BC communities while maintaining a culture of subservience to Delhi leadership.
