I own three hotels, disclosed them in 2009: KTR

BRS Working President KTR
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Thursday acknowledged that he owns three hotels in Hyderabad and said their details were already mentioned in his 2009 election affidavit. He challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to seek an inquiry by a sitting judge into the assets of both sides.
Speaking at a joining programme at Telangana Bhavan, KTR responded to Revanth Reddy’s remarks about his hotel businesses. He said he owned three hotels, including Deccan Serai and At Home Hospitality, and had disclosed the details in his 2009 affidavit.
“I had some money and owned one hotel in 2006, and it became three hotels now. I did not take interest; otherwise, I would have had 10 hotels. Is doing business wrong? My family will kick me if I don’t take their responsibility. The CM has given me free publicity for my hotels,” KTR said. KTR said his grandfather owned hundreds of acres but did not accumulate assets after coming to power. He claimed he had worked in the US before returning to India in 2006 and joining the Telangana agitation.
Taking a swipe at Revanth Reddy, KTR said, “Revanth Reddy is not Nallamalla Lion but a cat belonging to AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu.” He alleged that the state was facing shortages of power and urea and that Rythu Bandhu had not been continued.
The BRS leader said that people expected that CM Revanth Reddy would announce exgratia to the weavers who died when he came to Sircilla. He came as if he was going on a war with thousands of police personnel. He alleged that Revanth Reddy had stopped the contracts of Bathukamma saris, school uniforms, to the weavers. He is also not continuing the insurance scheme of ‘Netanna Beema’, alleged KTR.
The BRS working president questioned how his brother Kondal Reddy, a ninth fail had suddenly became an Aerospace Engineer and owns an aerospace company and how the CM gave Rs 200 crore worth land for just Rs 7 crore? How his brother Jagadish Reddy came forward to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Telangana? Till yesterday they were nowhere but now they own companies worth crores of rupees.
