TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao said that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should have been invited to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hyderabad.

It is known PM Modi on Saturday visited Hyderabad to take the stock of COVID-19 vaccine development. However, the Chief Minister's name did not figure out in the protocol list of VIPs. Reacting to it, KT Rama Rao said that Prime Minister and Chief Ministers were not individuals but institutions and they need to be respected by each other.

Speaking to media persons, the minister said that there are some protocols in any state and they need to be followed. "Even if it is the CM or PM, there has to be respect between the institutions, it is good for the nation," he said.

"When the Chief Minister is ready to go to invite the Prime Minister, there is nothing harm with it and he did not lose any respect. It is they who lost their respect for not inviting the Chief Minister," he added.

Meanwhile, the minister also thanked the PM on his visit to Hyderabad which indicates that the Telangana government has supported the expansion of life sciences ecosystem in Hyderabad.
