KCR talks ‘direct fight’ but stays in farmhouse, says Adi Srinivas

Hyderabad: Government Whip Adi Srinivas on Sunday criticised BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, alleging that KCR was unable to attend the Assembly but was now claiming that he would launch direct agitations.

Srinivas alleged that KCR was misleading BRS MLAs by giving them false hopes in an attempt to keep them within the party fold and prevent defections. He questioned how KCR could speak about launching struggles when, according to him, the former Chief Minister had not stepped out of his farmhouse even ten times in the past 1,000 days.

He alleged that KCR was making excuses for not attending the Assembly as Leader of the Opposition, including claims that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy used abusive language. Srinivas challenged KCR to identify any unparliamentary remarks made by the Chief Minister, stating that every word spoken in the House was on record.

Srinivas also criticised KCR over his proposed visits to the Kaleshwaram and Palamuru-Rangareddy irrigation projects. He alleged that Kaleshwaram had become an “ATM for corruption” and described it as “Kuleshwaram”, while claiming that the Palamuru-Rangareddy project had been neglected during the previous BRS regime.

Referring to BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao and senior leader T. Harish Rao, Srinivas said they were threatening a “battle” in the Assembly while KCR remained at his farmhouse. He challenged them to come to the House and debate public issues.

Srinivas urged KCR to attend the Assembly and participate in discussions. He said the Congress government, under Revanth Reddy’s leadership, had implemented several development and welfare programmes in 1,000 days and asserted that “Indiramma Rajyam” would continue for another 10,000 days.
