Kishan Reddy joins Yadava community in traditional Sadar celebrations

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy participated in the Sadar celebrations organised on the occasion of Diwali by the Yadava community at Chappal Bazaar here on Saturday. He watched the spectacular bullock cart parade and enthusiastically joined the procession, holding the decorated headdress of a bullock cart.

Kishan Reddy said Sadar, a unique Hyderabad tradition celebrated since the Nizam era, reflected the rich cultural heritage of the Yadava community. He said that he had been attending the celebrations regularly for the past 30 years. Highlighting the special attraction this year, he said a magnificent bull named ‘Baahubali’ had been specially brought from Kerala. He invited people from Hyderabad and surrounding areas to attend the grand procession on the evening of November 10 at Narayanguda.

The procession begain from the residence of late Parashuram Yadav at Chappal Bazaar. He appreciated Nanda Kishore Yadav, Laddu Yadav and their brothers for organising the traditional festivities every year.
