Hyderabad: Former Minister and Congress MLA Konda Surekha has warned party leaders against making irresponsible remarks or targeting her supporters, while making it clear that she would not tolerate any attempt to harm Congress activists and her followers.
She urged party leaders to exercise restraint in their public statements and warned that women party activists would respond strongly if provocative remarks continued.
Surekha said, “Certain leaders need to mind their language and that any further indiscretion would not be tolerated. Leaders who speak recklessly and without restraint would face a severe thrashing at the hands of female party activists. Fake leaders are talking too much, while genuine leaders are being overlooked for positions. Strict action would be taken against anyone whose behaviour harms the party or its leadership.
Each woman is capable of taking on and thrashing four individuals. Dire consequences if the leaders did not mend their ways. Everyone to move forward strategically with the sole objective of winning”.
Surekha said, “I am not upset about losing the ministerial post. Whether I am there or here, I will continue to serve the State and my constituency. As a minister, I had to spend considerable time serving the State. Now, I will dedicate more time to Warangal and remain accessible to the people,” she said.
