Man held for murder bid on wife
The Medipally police on Wednesday arrested a resident of Boduppal, Srinivas Reddy after registering an attempted murder case for hitting his wife Pulakandla Sangeeta on June 26 with a car sans number plate and escaping. Since then Reddy was absconding.

According to the police, the incident happened when Sangeeta was walking near their house in the morning hours. Reddy resorted to the attack (from behind) deliberately as planned with the intent to kill her using the car after removing the number plates.
Reddy was taken into custody near NTR statue in Boduppal on the evening of July 16. The car used in the offence was also seized. The police said the motive for the attack was Sangeeta lodging police complaints against Reddy and his family members. Hence, he wanted to get rid of her.
