Hyderabad: Robbers gained entry into a jewellery shop by breaking open a window and reportedly decamped with gold ornaments studded with diamonds worth Rs 2 crore.
The incident took place at Tata Jewellery Mart under the Medipally police limits of Malkajgiri. According to police, they received information from the shop staff, who received an alert from the store late on Sunday night.
Following the information, police rushed to the spot and found that the miscreants had entered the store by breaking open a window and committed theft of gold ornaments.
Police suspect that at least seven persons were involved in the gold heist at the jewellery mart. The police collected samples from the crime scene for verification. CCTV footage from the store was also collected and is being examined to identify the accused.
