TG rolls out MeeSeva services at doorstep!

Hyderabad: Telangana is taking steps to integrate technology with governance and set a benchmark in digital governance by delivering citizen services at people’s doorsteps, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Wednesday.

Speaking after formally launching the MeeSeva Door Delivery Services at the RTC Kalyana Mandapam in Bagh Lingampally, the Minister said the government was introducing technology-driven reforms to improve transparency, accountability and the delivery of public services.

Under the initiative, citizens can book a slot through the 1100 toll-free number or the MeeSeva portal and avail themselves of various services from their homes. These include birth and death certificates, income, caste and residence certificates, copies of Encumbrance Certificates (ECs), select police services and IGRS services, among others.

More than 70 MeeSeva agents and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) have been specially trained to provide the door-delivery services, Mr. Sridhar Babu said. The initiative will initially be implemented in CURE areas and subsequently extended to other parts of the State, he said.
