TSRTC employees to hold protests on June 25

Hyderabad: The TSRTC Telangana Mazdoor Union decided to call upon the employees of the Telangana State Road Transportation Corporation to conduct massive protests at all the bus depots and units on June 25.

Speaking at the press conference held at Bus Bhavan on Monday, RTC Telangana Mazdoor Union General Secretary E Ashwatthama Reddy, requested the State government to take necessary steps to merge the TSRTC in the government.

He said that the TSRTC management was not implementing those policies that it agreed upon though a cabinet sub-committee, granted an Interim Relief (IR) in the month of June last year.

Ashwatthama said that committee was constituted long back but not even a single meeting was held to sort out the issues of drivers and conductors. The existing employees were over burdened as vacancies were not being filled up in all sections, he said. In this regard, the TMC has decided to call upon the employees of the TSRTC to conduct massive dharnas at all the bus depots on June 25.
