Unauthorised dump yard at open plot in Rk Puram

RK Puram: An open plot in Rk Puram at officer's colony has been turned into a dump yard which is getting harmful day by day. The animals including cows and dogs go and scour through domestic waste, which could be harmful for their health. Any dog bites would even turn fatal, local residents expressed concern.

Sushila R, a resident of the area, said, "My house is adjacent to this open plot. No matter if it is morning time or evening, there is an unpleasant smell in the area. The garbage is not removed from the plot and sometimes the garbage is been burnt. The smoke that comes after burning the garbage causes pollution and affects our health too."
