Women stage dharna with empty vessels
Water was supplied only once during the last two months
Bollaram: Women holding empty vessels and placards staged a dharna near Gandhi statue in front of the IDA Bollaram Municipal office, demanding drinking water supply to protect their health in view of hardships faced by the residents of several colonies during the last two months.
The protestors said they had been suffering for the last two months to secure the Manjira water. They told the media that the Municipal Commissioner was neglecting the people's suffering.
According to the them, water was being supplied to people once in a week before the formation of the municipality. "But since the civic body has been formed, water is supplied only once during the last two months," they said, expressing their anguish at TRS leaders and other politicians.
