Follow police guidelines for peaceful Ganesh immersion: CP Gaush Alam
Karimnagar: Police Commissioner Gaush Alam (IPS) urged devotees and organisers to follow police instructions and cooperate with officials for the peaceful conduct of Ganesh immersion celebrations. District Collector Chitra Mishra, Municipal Commissioner Praful Desai and CP Gaush Alam inspected immersion arrangements at Chintakunta Canal and Kothapalli Lake. Officials reviewed security, traffic regulation, lighting, barricading, cranes and sanitation facilities.
Around 3,100 idols are expected to be immersed across the Karimnagar Police Commissionerate, including nearly 1,000 within municipal limits. About 850 police personnel have been deployed, supported by patrol teams, rooftop units, trained swimmers and DRF boats.
Traffic diversions and restrictions will be enforced at key junctions on September 23 and 24. The CP also urged organisers to observe prescribed noise limits and ensure public safety.
