Lions Club extends helping hand to needy families
Karimnagar: The Lions Club of Karimnagar Balajinagar distributed clothes to nearly 100 underprivileged people on the occasion of Diwali as part of its humanitarian service initiative. The club members identified families of workers employed at brick kilns in the Mugdhumpur area and distributed clothes, including children’s garments, sarees, shirts, trousers and blankets.
The beneficiaries, particularly women and children, expressed happiness and gratitude for the gesture during the festive season.
The initiative aimed to collect unused clothes in good condition and provide them to families in need. The club appealed to the public to donate wearable clothes rather than discard them.
The members said that sharing unused belongings could bring happiness to disadvantaged families and stressed that the true spirit of festivals lay in spreading joy and caring for others.
