BJP’s Ponguleti leads ‘We will do it’ pledge
Khammam: BJP senior leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy led a mass “We Will Do It” pledge here on Wednesday as part of the party’s nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public leadership. Addressing BJP leaders and workers, Reddy called for a collective resolve to build an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and achieve the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
Reddy and other party leaders earlier watched Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ address at Uma Bhavan near Gandhi Chowk.
“Modi’s 25-year leadership journey is not merely a period in office but one marked by service, governance and commitment to nation-building,” Reddy said.
He said the Prime Minister’s journey from Gujarat to Delhi demonstrated the role of determination and a “nation first” approach in national development.
A ‘Seva Jyothi’ procession was later taken out through the city under Reddy’s leadership. A specially decorated vehicle carrying a symbolic service lamp led the procession, which featured kolatam and other local cultural performances. The procession reached Muthyalamma Centre, where Reddy and other BJP leaders paid floral tributes to the statues of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and B R Ambedkar.
