Khammam: BJP leaders fired on Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar for his comments on the saffron party. Speaking with the media at the party office here on Thursday, State Kisan Morcha president Kondapalli Sridhar Reddy, district party chief Galla Satyanarayana and other leaders condemned the Minister's comments and said that he has no right to make comments on their party. Minister Ajay was afraid after Dubbaka by-poll and GHMC election results, hence making all these comments, they added. They threw an open challenge to the Minister to explain what the TRS government did for the development of Khammam town. They alleged that the Minister had developed areas near his college only and drainages and roads in various divisions in the corporation were totally damaged and they were repaired yet.

The leaders stated BJP is getting strong by each day in the district as several leaders of other parties were joining the lotus party. They said with confidence that they will win majority divisions and will grab Mayor post in the coming civic polls. 'The competition will be between BJP and TRS only in the coming elections.' The BJP leaders stated that people across the country were happy under the regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Central government had spent nearly Rs 250 crore under Amrutha Scheme to provide drinking water and other facilities in Khammam town, they informed.
