Kurnool: ChiefMinister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday virtually launched development works worth Rs 246 crore under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) for Kurnool Municipal Corporation, Gudur, Adoni, and Yemmiganur from Kuppam.
The projects focus on building roads, parks, central medians, streetlights, and basic infrastructure.
Minister for Industries TG Bharath, Kurnool MP Bastipati Nagaraju, District Collector Dr A Siri, and Panyam MLA Gowru Charitha Reddy witnessed the programme via video conference at the Municipal Council Hall.
Minister Bharath stressed advance project reviews, while MP Nagaraju highlighted allocations for drainage and accident-prone black spots. MLA Gowru Charitha Reddy noted that substantial funds have been earmarked for her constituency alongside AMRUT 2.0 drinking water projects.
District Collector Dr A Siri stated that the government is giving special attention to comprehensive urban development by bridging infrastructure gaps.
She directed municipal officials to study Visakhapatnam’s best practices, ensure rigorous quality control, and maintain continuous monitoring. Furthermore, she instructed authorities to patiently address public grievances raised through ward secretariats, emphasizing total coordination among officials and public representatives to accelerate civic growth. Municipal Commissioner Obulesu and other dignitaries were present.
