Nandyal: Differences between ruling alliance partners Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to the fore at Giddalur village in Sanjamala mandal of Nandyal district following the alleged vandalism of BJP flagpoles.

BJP leaders accused local TDP supporters of damaging party installations in Giddalur and Ramabhadrunipalle villages.

The controversy escalated when BJP leaders approached the Sanjamala police station to lodge a complaint.

During their absence, another BJP flagpole was reportedly damaged in Giddalur, heightening tensions. Circle Inspector Ramesh Babu and Sub-Inspector Ramanaiah visited the scene to assess the situation.

Senior BJP leaders Linganna, Sivakrishna Yadav, and Parameshwar Reddy spearheaded protests, demanding immediate legal action against the perpetrators and announcing plans to escalate the matter to State leadership.

The incidents highlighted local-level friction within the Banaganapalle Assembly constituency, represented by Minister BC Janardhan Reddy.

BJP cadres have urged authorities to take preventative steps to avoid further confrontations between the alliance partners.
