Nellore: YSRCP MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy slammed the TDP-led coalition for destroying democracy in Nellore Municipal Corporation elections through money power, intimidation, administrative manipulation and counting irregularities.

Addressing the media at party office here on Wednesday, he said the coalition systematically prevented opposition candidates from contesting freely. He alleged that irregularities began with ward delimitation, as YSRCP strongholds were split across divisions. Voter lists released on September 22 differed significantly from subsequent lists, while last-minute changes to polling stations created confusion despite court intervention. He alleged that YSRCP candidates’ nominations were rejected showing various reasons.

Chandrasekhar Reddy said election spending reportedly reached Rs 1.3 crore to Rs 2 crore per division, adding that he had 15 audio recordings of TDP leaders discussing cash distribution during conference calls involving police officers. He also condemned irregularities during counting.

Reaffirming unwavering support for YSRCP candidates and activists, he vowed to continue fighting for public issues and expressed confidence that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government would return in two years.
