Nizamabad: State Government Advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy directed Excise and enforcement officials to adopt strict measures to curb drug trafficking, illegal liquor and adulterated toddy in the district.
Addressing a review meeting with District Collector Ila Tripathi and Excise officials at the Integrated District Offices Complex on Wednesday, he called for intensified surveillance against the transportation, sale and consumption of narcotic substances.
Expressing concern over the resurgence of illicit liquor (gudumba) in rural areas, Sudarshan Reddy ordered joint raids to check ganja trafficking and take stringent action against offenders.
