NIZAMABAD: Gandhian principles remain an ideal and a guiding light for everyone, stated Nizamabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Kuragayala Umarani. Paying rich tributes, she along with Additional Collector Bhujanga Rao and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dilip Kumar offered floral garlands to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Chowk in Nizamabad town on Friday. They also paid tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding his statue on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Remembering the invaluable contributions made by both national leaders to the country, the speakers called upon citizens to walk in the footsteps of these great personalities and work towards national development and social welfare.
