Rajamahendravaram: The selection and auction process for A4 liquor shops in East Godavari district will be held at the Sub-Collector’s Office here at 8 am on Thursday, under the supervision of the Prohibition and Excise Department. Prohibition and Excise officials said 90 online applications were registered for the four A4 shop units covered by the notification, of which 30 applications were finally submitted. Of the applications, 14 were registered for Bikkavolu unit EG/36 and four were finally submitted.
Kadiyam unit EG/62 received the highest number with 42 registrations, of which 13 were finally submitted. Kovvur mandal unit EG/70 received 15 registrations and four final submissions, while Mandapeta Rural mandal unit KSM/110 received 19 registrations and nine final submissions. Officials said the selection and auction process would be conducted transparently and strictly in accordance with government rules.
Eligible applicants who have made final submissions have been asked to attend the process at the Sub-Collector’s Office with their original documents and required certificates at the stipulated time. Officials advised applicants to contact the concerned Prohibition and Excise authorities for any clarification regarding the selection and auction process.
