Rajamahendravaram: Former Rajamahendravaram MP and YSRCP national spokesperson Margani Bharat Ram on Tuesday criticised the civic authorities over the delay in completing pipeline works on the road from Church Gate to Geetha Apsara Theatre, alleging that the unfinished works had caused severe inconvenience to the public for the past two months.
Bharat Ram inspected the road excavated for laying pipelines and staged a protest by stepping into the trenches along with party leaders. He alleged that while the previous YSRCP government had taken up planned development of Rajamahendravaram during its five-year tenure, the present coalition government had failed to maintain the city’s infrastructure over the past two-and-a-half years.
YSRCP ward in-charge Katam Rajinikanth, Priyanka, party leaders Ajjarapu Vasu, Majji Apparao and others participated in the protest.
