In Short
Political drama unfolded in Chandragiri during MPTC-ZPTC polling as Pulivarthi Sudha Reddy shadowed YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy across polling stations.

Former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and Pulivarthi Sudha Reddy face off during MPTC, ZPTC election polling in Chandragiri on Thursday
Tirupati: In an unusual political encounter during local body elections, Pulivarthi Sudha Reddy followed former MLA Chevi Reddy Bhaskar Reddy as he inspected polling stations in Chandragiri constituency on Thursday, adding to the political drama surrounding the polling.
Sudha Reddy, wife of Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani, came face to face with the senior YSRCP leader near a polling station at Saptagiri Colony in Mangal. As Chevi Reddy moved around the constituency to assess polling arrangements, she continued to follow him.
At one stage, Sudha Reddy reportedly said she would remain with Chevi Reddy throughout the day and was even prepared to travel in his car if required. She also stood beside him when he stopped to attend a phone call. She later asked police to ensure that only voters were allowed inside polling stations, stressing the need to maintain order and conduct the elections peacefully.
The constituency witnessed another tense moment at Saptagiri Nagar polling station in Tirupati Rural mandal when Chevi Reddy entered the polling booth and Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani reached the spot.
Meanwhile, YSRCP Chandragiri coordinator Chevi Reddy Mohith Reddy raised concerns over the monitoring of the election process. He said High Court had directed the authorities to install CCTV cameras at every polling station in the constituency and record the entire polling process. He also maintained that the footage should be preserved and submitted to the court in accordance with its directions.
Polling continued across Chandragiri constituency amid heightened political activity, with rival party leaders keeping a close watch on developments and tensions reported at some polling stations.
