SP inspects sensitive polling centres in Tirupati
Tirupati: District Superintendent of Police L Subba Rayudu on Thursday visited several sensitive polling centres across Tirupati district to review security arrangements for ZPTC and MPTC elections. During field inspection, he examined police deployment, polling-station security measures and the overall law-and-order situation.
He interacted with officers and personnel on duty and directed them to remain fully alert throughout the polling process.
SP Subba Rayudu instructed to give special attention to sensitive and highly sensitive areas to prevent clashes, intimidation, or any other unwanted incidents. He directed police to ensure that voters can cast their votes freely, without fear, pressure, threats, or inducement.
He also warned that strict action would be taken against attempts to distribute money, spread false information, or influence voters during election. He further instructed the officials to continue security arrangements even after polling ends, until all ballot boxes are safely transported to strong rooms.
The strong rooms will remain under tight security until the completion of vote counting.
