CM to take part in Swachhaandhra programme

Visakhapatnam: From distributing house site pattas to inaugurating various infrastructure facilities and interacting with sanitation workers and the general public at RK Beach as part of the ‘Swarnandhra-Swachhandhra’ programme, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to take part in various programmes in Visakhapatnam on September 19.

The Chief Minister will take part in the ‘Swarnandhra-Swachhandhra’ programme at noon before proceeding to the AU Engineering College grounds for the house site pattas distribution.

District in-charge mnister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M Sribharat inspected the arrangements made for the distribution of house-site pattas and conveyance deeds to be held at the AU Engineering College grounds.

As 28,500 beneficiaries are receiving house-site pattas, while 24,000 of them are getting conveyance deeds through dedicated counters, they stated that the state government would provide a stronger and more secure property rights to thousands of poor and middle-class families in Visakhapatnam.

As the pattas and deeds provide complete legal rights over the beneficiaries’ properties, the minister and MP said that it would offer greater security of tenure and create better economic opportunities for families. Steps are being taken to ensure that these beneficiaries receive conditional conveyance deeds at the earliest.

The MP said that the matter had already been discussed with the District Collector and efforts are being made to complete the process in a week to 10 days. Taking to ‘X’, the Chief Minister posted, “The decade-long wait has finally come to an end as thousands of families’ dreams to secure rights over their homes are becoming a reality. Every family dreams of having their own home with complete ownership rights and it is being realised in Visakhapatnam.”

Referring to the beneficiaries, the CM posted, “To the thousands of poor families who have built homes on government lands and lived there for years, we are regularising those lands and providing house titles with full rights. By granting you rights over your homes, we are making the dreams of 28,445 families come true.”

Naidu said that seeing the joy of each family that waited for decades to claim rights over the home they lived in is the true satisfaction the government aspires for. “Through welfare schemes, development programmes, irrigation projects, investments and employment opportunities, we are taking a step forward every day for the people. We are giving wings to their dreams. In Visakha, which is transforming into a world-class city, the government is providing assurance to ordinary families. We are making them partners in development,” the CM emphasised in the post.
