Visakhapatnam: Officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) Naga Sreenivasu Rongala has been appointed as Deputy General Manager (General), South Coast Railway (SCoR).
Sreenivasu Rongala is associated with several notable technical and innovative initiatives. He has extensive experience in electrical engineering, electric locomotive operations and maintenance, energy conservation and innovative railway technologies.
Prior to his present assignment, he served as deputy chief electrical engineer/loco and operations, South Coast Railway, and also held positions of senior divisional electrical engineer, electric loco shed/Royapuram and senior divisional electrical engineer, electric loco shed/Arakkonam, Chennai Division.
He holds a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from CRR College of Engineering, Eluru and an ME in signal processing from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
The 2011 batch IRS officer assumed charge of the post on September 15th.
