Visakhapatnam: SFS School Principal P Manoj emphasised that blood is a lifeline for patients facing medical emergencies and that voluntary blood donation is a noble service that can save countless lives. A voluntary blood donation camp was organised at the SFS School premises in Seethammadhara by the SFS School Alumni Association and Sappa Naresh, in collaboration with Mother Blood Centre Bank. Alumni and volunteers from various parts of the city participated and contributed to the cause.
As part of the programme, participants underwent preliminary health screenings, including blood group identification and haemoglobin level tests, to assess their eligibility for blood donation.
Addressing the gathering, Principal P. Manoj mentioned that donating blood is one of the most valuable forms of social service, as it could provide life to patients in critical situations. He encouraged people to come forward voluntarily for the cause.
Alumni Association representative Sappa Naresh stated that a single act of blood donation could help save lives during medical emergencies. He stressed the importance of creating greater public awareness about voluntary blood donation and encouraged people to participate in such initiatives. Certificates were presented to all blood donors in recognition of their valuable contribution. Members of the alumni association, NCC cadets and staff of the blood centre participated in the programme.
