Around 50 Congress leaders join BRS in Palakurthi
Hanumakonda: The BRS party received a boost in Palakurthi constituency as around 50 Congress leaders and activists from Gurtur village in Thorrur mandal joined the party on Saturday. Former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao welcomed the new members by presenting them with pink scarves at the BRS party office in Hanumakonda. Speaking on the occasion, Errabelli criticised the Congress government over alleged unfulfilled election promises, irregular power supply and neglect of farmers’ welfare. He questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the implementation of the assurances made during the elections. Errabelli said the leadership of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the welfare schemes implemented during the previous BRS government were attracting people back to the party. He asserted that comprehensive development in Palakurthi was possible only under BRS leadership. He urged party workers to maintain discipline and unity, assuring new members of due recognition. Several senior Congress leaders and village-level representatives were among those who joined.
