WARANGAL: The Pochamma Thalli Bonalu Jathara, organised by the Mudiraj Sangham at Kashibugga in Warangal East constituency, was held with religious fervour and devotion on Thursday.
BJP state leader and Warangal Urban Co-operative Bank chairman Errabelli Pradeep Rao attended as the chief guest and offered special prayers to the goddess. He later lifted the Bonam along with devotees and fulfilled his vows to Pochamma Thalli.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Rao said the Bonalu festival symbolises Telangana’s culture and traditions. He added that he had prayed to Pochamma Thalli for the well-being, happiness, good health and long life of all people.
A large number of devotees participated in the Jathara and offered Bonalus to the goddess.
The event was attended by former corporator and Mudiraj Sangham leader Bhayya Swami, BJP leaders Ratnam Krishna Kishore, Juluri Nainesh, Godishala Karthik Goud, along with party workers, women, youth and devotees.
