Warangal: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a protest at Kashibugga crossroads here on Tuesday, accusing the Congress government of failing to fulfil its election promises even after 1,000 days in power.

Former Warangal East MLA Nannapuneni Narendar led the protest, while former MP Boinpally Vinod Kumar attended as chief guest. BRS leaders alleged that Congress had promised 420 assurances, 13 declarations and six guarantees, with implementation within 100 days, but several key commitments remained unfulfilled. The protesters garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and submitted a memorandum listing their demands.

BRS leaders also condemned the alleged assault on former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunita Lakshma Reddy inside the Telangana Assembly complex. Former corporators, senior leaders, youth and women leaders and party workers participated in the demonstration.
