Warangal: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a dharna in front of the Warangal Collectorate on Monday, demanding implementation of the election promises made by the Congress government as it completed 1,000 days in office. Former Warangal East MLA Nannapuneni Narendar led the protest and later submitted a memorandum to the Additional Collector during the grievance programme.

Addressing party workers and supporters, Narendar alleged that the Congress came to power by making 420 election assurances, 13 declarations and six guarantees, but had failed to fulfil several major promises. He recalled that the ruling party had promised to implement key assurances within the first 100 days.

He criticised the government’s performance, alleging a gap between its election promises and actual implementation. Narendar said the BRS would continue to raise public issues and press the government to honour its commitments.

Former corporators, senior leaders, women leaders, booth-level workers and activists participated in the protest.
