Hanumakonda: MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy has instructed the officials to expedite the construction work of Parakala Indira Mahila Dairy, which is being constructed with the aim of providing additional income opportunities to farmers through the dairy industry and also strengthening women economically. On Friday, he inspected the dairy works under construction at the Damera mandal center along with the officials.
The MLA inspected the planning, site conditions, progress of construction works, road facilities, creation of other infrastructure and other issues related to the construction of the dairy at the field level. He enquired about the details related to the construction works from the officials. He discussed the progress of the works with the officials and made various necessary suggestions. He suggested that the problems faced in the construction of the project should be resolved from time to time and the works should be taken forward.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is giving utmost priority to the economic empowerment of women.
The MLA said that there are wide opportunities for the dairy industry in rural areas and farmers can earn additional income through dairy farming along with agriculture.
He said that Indira Mahila Dairy will help provide sustainable income streams to women’s groups and farmer families through milk and milk products. He expressed hope that local employment opportunities will also increase with the development of the dairy.
