Naini Rajender Reddy calls for upholding Bapuji’s ideals
Hanumakonda: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy said Konda Laxman Bapuji’s struggle for the rights of the people of Telangana and his commitment to social justice would remain memorable for generations. He called for carrying forward Bapuji’s aspirations for the upliftment of backward classes and weaker sections. The 111th birth anniversary of Konda Laxman Bapuji was celebrated at the District Collectorate conference hall in Hanumakonda on Sunday, under the aegis of the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, District Collector Chahat Bajpai and State Corporation chairpersons Kurapati Venkata Narayana and Sangam Venkatrajam garlanded Bapuji’s portrait and paid tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA recalled Bapuji’s contribution to the freedom movement and his struggle for Telangana’s rights. He stressed the need to uphold Bapuji’s ideals of equality, social justice and equal opportunities for the poor and disadvantaged.
He said the government was working for the welfare and development of backward classes, adding that Bapuji’s services and sacrifices would continue to inspire future generations.
Former MLA Vannala Sriramulu and several BC leaders and officials attended the programme.
