Hanumakonda:TGNPDCL CMD Karnati Varun Reddy has directed officials to remain on high alert ahead of forecast heavy rain and strong winds from October 27 to 29. Field teams have been instructed to take precautionary measures in cyclone-prone districts, including Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mulugu, Warangal and Mahabubabad.

Officials have been told to keep emergency repair equipment, vehicles and service teams ready to minimise power disruptions. Circle and division control rooms must remain operational round the clock to monitor complaints and coordinate restoration works.

The CMD stressed strict electrical safety measures, directing staff to isolate power lines before repairs and prioritise public safety. Consumers have been advised to call the toll-free number 1912 for power-related complaints and avoid touching snapped wires or submerged electrical equipment. Officials must ensure prompt restoration and regularly update higher authorities on the situation.
