Finding ways to prevent child pornography: Centre
The central government has termed pornography, especially child pornography, a serious threat to the country. The government said in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the government and police are working together to curb this.

The government said in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the government and police are working together to curb this. Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the trend of revenge porn has also increased in the country.
The Central Government, the state and the police are working together on the plan to prevent the spread of fake news, pornography and anti-national content through satellite media platforms.
On the other hand, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu raised concern over child pornography in the country. He hoped that the Rajya Sabha would discuss the report presented in the matter. Naidu said, "I want Parliament to discuss the report on pornography at the earliest." In December last year, Naidu formed an ad hoc committee to suggest effective action against child pornography.
