Former PM Manmohan Singh Admitted To AIIMS, Condition Stable
Former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted on Sunday night to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the national capital.
New Delhi: Former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted on Sunday night to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the national capital. The 87-year-old Dr Singh was admitted into the cardio-thoracic ward after he complained of chest congestion and uneasiness, doctors said.
A team of doctors attending on the prime minister is reported to have said that his parameters are stable and that he is under observation in the cardio-thoracic ward of the hospital. Dr Singh underwent successful coronary bypass surgery at AIIMS in 2009.
Meanwhile, the Congress party posted a tweet wishing the former Prime Minister a speedy recovery.
