New Delhi: Suspension of seven Congress MPs of the Lok Sabha is likely to be revoked after discussions which took place during an all-party meeting on Wednesday. It may be recalled that the seven MPs were suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remaining part of the budget session for gross misconduct.

The government moved a motion for suspension of the 7 MPs in question after the Speaker reprimanded them for their unruly behaviour in the House.

When the Lok Sabha reconvened on Wednesday morning after the Holi break, the House had to be adjourned following noisy scenes till 12 noon. Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla convened a meeting of members from all parties to discuss the issue of suspension of seven Congress MPs.

It is learnt that the suspension is likely to be revoked enabling the MPs to join the discussion on Delhi violence scheduled for 2.30 pm. A number of Opposition parties have given notices for debate on the Delhi violence which is set to take place at 2:30 PM on Wednesday afternoon. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will to the points raised in the debate at around 6 PM, as per media reports.

Noisy scenes were witnessed in both houses of the Parliament before the Holi break with the opposition demanding an urgent discussion on Delhi riots. The government, on its part, initially said that the situation in the national capital was not conducive for a debate. The Speaker later, scheduled the discussion for March 11 after the Holi festival.
