Adilabad: Superintendent of Police Sarvasresht Tripathi advised the police officials to make use of the modern technology to nab the culprits and to solve cases.A The SP inaugurated the 56th annual Police Duty Meet (PDM) at Police Parade Grounds in the town on Monday. The police officials, especially Sub-Inspectors and Circle Inspectors, have to acquire the knowledge to utilise modern technology � computers, online recording process, biometric fingerprints, use of closed circuit cameras and the use of various other electronic gadgets. The modern technology would be helpful in taking photos of culprits, in collecting fingerprints, collecting evidences, use of dog squads and to perform other important duties of police, the SP said.A Tripathi said that after the conclusion of the PDM programme, competitions would be held to the participating officials and those excelled would be sent to participate at state level police duty meet. Three CIs, five SIs from Nizamabad sub-division participated in the training programme.A Additional SP T Appa Rao, Additional SP (administration) N V Kishen Rao, DSP B Narayana Rao, RI K Veeraiah, Inspector B Aliya and other officials were present at the meeting.
