The AP new capital Amaravathi is likely to be a slum free city. In line with Chandrababu's bid to construct a world class capital for AP, the AP Government has taken a decision to embark on a mission to make Amaravathi slum-free.
According to a report, the Government has decided to construct quarters for the workers and give them for rents. The laborers come from different parts of the state to cities on various works and set up huts. They slowly become slum dwellers. This might happen in the AP capital too as thousands of laborers will be working for the capital construction.
To make the city slum free, the Government will build some quarters and give them to laborers on rents at cheaper prices. The AP capital may become slum-free if everything goes as per plan.
