English reading made easy
A workshop on ‘Reading Strategies’ was held at Maris Stella College on Tuesday under the aegis of Department of English. The objective of the workshop was to train students in reading English quickly and sensibly for academic studies and competitive examinations.

Afsha Jamal, Assistant Professor of Department of English, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University of Saudi Arabia, who was the resource person, explained different types of reading through a PowerPoint presentation. She covered various essential aspects of effective reading.
Sr Karuna Vincent, Dean of PG Section, Sr Inyasamma, vice-principal of degree college, K Sandhya, Head of Department of English, and faculty members were present. Students of degree and PG courses attended the workshop.
