No calm after the storm

The aftermath of Monday’s cloudburst was evident throughout the city on Tuesday. Even as GHMC officials worked hard in clearing the water off the streets including help from other law enforcement agencies, uprooted trees and damaged property across low-lying areas continued to be a problem for people, who were forced to vacate their homes and migrate to community shelters for respite. More rains are expected for another day and the government has asked people to remain indoors unless necessary.
