Kakinada: As many as 385 Gram Sabhas were conducted so far in the fifth phase of Janmabhoomi in 101 town wards and 284 villages in the East Godavari district, according to Collector Kartikeya Mishra.

Post briefing on the two-day progress of the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru to reporters here on Thursday, he informed that 2,609 ration cards, 5,789 scholarships and 239 houses sites were distributed so far during Janmabhoomi.

Mishra also revealed that they had conducted 297 veterinary camps and treated 25,686 cattle in these programmes.
“About 39,292 people attended the Janmabhoomi programme hitherto, 6,522 people participated in Rangoli and sports competition, while 5,274 people participated in the cultural activities,” he explained.

Mishra said that the 1,439 winners were presented mementoes. “All Ministers and MLAs actively participated in the Janmabhoomi programme and 65 inaugurations for developmental works and 17 events of laying of foundation stones are completed until now,” he added.
