35,000 houses to be completed before Mar 1
A total of 35,000 houses will be completed before March 12 in the East Godavari district, informed Amalapuram Division Housing Executive Engineer N Ganapathi. He participated as the chief guest of the grounding and marking works of the NTR Rural and PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna) housing schemes at P Mallavaram village on Monday.
Kakinada: A total of 35,000 houses will be completed before March 12 in the East Godavari district, informed Amalapuram Division Housing Executive Engineer N Ganapathi. He participated as the chief guest of the grounding and marking works of the NTR Rural and PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna) housing schemes at P Mallavaram village on Monday.
Speaking to ‘The Hans India,’ the EE said that a total of 5,000 houses would be grounded in Amalapuram division alone before March 12 under the NTR Rural and PMAY housing schemes. He explained that for Tallarevu mandal, 425 houses would be grounded before the scheduled date. On Monday, they had grounded six houses and gave the markings for those sites, two houses under PMAY scheme and four under NTR rural housing, he added.
He said that the beneficiaries were selected under PMAY basing on the 2011 census data and for NTR rural housing the beneficiaries were selected through the Janmabhoomi committees in the villages.
Amalapuram division housing DE D Nagalakshmi, Tallarevu housing assistant engineer Md Shamshuddin, Vigilance committee member Dhulipudi Venkata Ramana (Bobby), MPTC member Pithani Vishnu, Mandal Cooption member Dunna Satyanarayana, TDP village secretary Dhulipudi Subrahmanyam and others participated in the grounding works event.
